Olatunji Gbolahan Sulaimon, aka (abanny), is a hip-hop recording artist and songwriter.He was born in Ogun and raised in Lagos. Abanny selected Olamide Baddo as a role model in 2012, and he listens to his songs on repeat. He had always aspired to be like Olamide Baddo, but he had no idea he'd become a singer until 2015.
Abanny began his music career as a rapper in 2015, but when his role model said, "rap O jawo, Ori lo jawo," he soon changed his tune. He's doing well now since he works hard on himself to develop his Afrobeats skills. Since 2015, Abanny has been working as an independent musician without the assistance of a record label. In 2019, he filmed his debut music video for the song "Insta Lover."
Abanny changed his stage name from gbollycoded to Abanny in 2020 because some of his followers outside of Nigeria were unable to use the gbolly pronoun.

Olamide Baddo was Abanny's role model before he began his singing career. In 2023, Abanny sent a letter to his role model.
